It appears in the fan press book, "WHISPERS, Vol.4, No.3-4, 1982, illustrating the proposed film presentation, "The Red Death," written by Ray Russell, based on Edgar Allan Poe's story, "The Mask of the Red Death".
Stuart D. Schiff, editor and publisher of "Whispers" and "Whispers Press," later edited six "Whispers" anthologies for Doubleday. All six volumes reprinted stories and artwork from his original "Whispers" fan publications. Since then, Schiff's "Whispers" books have been reprinted in paperback editions.
