A Witch's Dozen
32. A WITCH'S DOZEN - A black Ink and black color pencil drawing on an 11 x 14 size coquille board. It appears as the frontispiece in the book, "A Witch's Dozen," by Janet Fox, published by Wildside Press & Paul Ganley, in 2003.
I was given this assignment in 1990. Most of the time, when I finished a job and sent it off to the publisher, the book, or magazine, was published within six months to a year. But this book must hold the world's record, it took over 10 years after I mailed my artwork to the editor, before the book was published in 2003.
Shortly after publication I received a letter from the author, Janet Fox, complimenting me on my artwork. But, oddly, she didn't say a word about having to wait 13 years to see her book in print.
