447. THE DESERT OF STOLEN DREAMS 4 - Two black ink and gray pencil drawings on 11 x 14 size vellum paper. They appear in the book, "The Desert of Stolen Dreams," by Robert Silverberg, published by Underwood-Miller in 1981.

Spot drawings, like these two are, are intended to be printed in a book or a magazine in quarter page size. Sometimes it took me as much time to do a spot drawing as it did to do a full page drawing because the idea for the spot drawing took a long time coming.

And occasionally I drew a spot drawing as large as I did a full page drawing, so when I sold the spot drawing I got just as much for it as I did when I sold a full page drawing. And that was the case for these two spot drawings.
