Egypt of ancient times has inspired many an author to write wonderful stories about that mysterious land. I drew this picture at a time when I was reading the Allan Quatermain adventure books written by H. Rider Haggard, about that mysterious land of pharaohs. I had already read, "She," and "Ayesha, the Return of She," and was halfway through reading, "She and Allan".
This is one of my early drawings from before 1973. My early work can be identified by the small "s" in my signed initials. Later, when I started working professionally, full time, the "s" became larger and as wide on the top as the "F".
