She
66. SHE - A black ink and gray color pencil drawing on an 11 x 14 size vellum paper. It was drawn for my book, "The Best of Stephen Fabian", published by Loompanics in 1976.
I used a movie photo to draw the likeness of Ursula Andress who played the title role in the film, "SHE". Shortly before I drew the picture I had read a statement in an art magazine by an artist who wrote, "If you can do a good drawing or painting of a beautiful woman, you should have no problem selling your artwork".
With that bit of knowledge in mind I made a special effort at drawing beautiful women. And over the years I have found it to be true, any picture I drew or painted of a beautiful woman sold as soon as I made it available for sale. It was really good to be able to take advantage of that knowledge, and whenever I needed some extra cash I would draw or paint a picture of a beautiful woman, and sure enough, when some art collector phoned, as they frequently did to ask if I had any artwork for sale, I had that beauty ready to show them, and they bought it.
