This picture is one of 15 paintings that I submitted to editor John Betancourt of Wildside Press for the 10 volume book series, "The Weird Works of Robert E. Howard". It was not selected as one of the ten, and appears here for the first time. The Conan figure was borrowed from a painting I did for the cover of "Sword & Sorcery Annual Magazine, 1975".
