198. SOLOMON KANE'S HOMECOMING - A computer painting.
This is the picture I made and submitted to the editor of Wildside Press, after he rejected an earlier one; item No.195 "BLACK HOUNDS OF DEATH".
Although editor Betancourt accepted this picture for the dust jacket of book 9 in the 10 volume series, "The Weird Works of Robert E. Howard," he didn't use it! When I got my copies of the book I was a bit stunned to see that he went back and used the rejected picture for the DJ! - I guess he changed his mind.
To make this picture I used my computer to copy and paste parts of other paintings that I did in the past. It now appears as Plate 15 in my art folio, "The Stephen E. Fabian Collection, No.14: The Weird Works of Robert E. Howard".
