Timothy

432. TIMOTHY - A black ink and black color pencil drawing on an 11 x 14 size coquille board. It appears in the book, "ANITA," by Keith Roberts, published by Owlswick Press in 1990.

ANITA is a witch. A nice witch with some unusual powers . . .

TIMOTHY is a scarecrow propped up on a stick in a field of weeds and wild flowers. It's midnight . . . the witching hour . . .

Out of the darkness a soft voice calls out . . . "Timothy?"

The scarecrows eyes open. There is a pretty girl standing in front of him . . .

"Timothy? Can you hear me? I'm Anita."

"Anita"?

"Yes, I'm Anita, I've come to help you Timothy".

"Help me? . . . How"?

"I've come to take you home, Timothy" . . .
